VR Drone Autoflight Analysis

Today we bring you a analysis of a new drone that we have been testing for a few weeks. His name is VR Drone Autoflight and it is a mid-range drone specially designed for novice pilots who want to enter the world of first person piloting (FPV) at a reasonable price, since we have it available for only € 199. Among its most outstanding features we have its wide-angle HD camera, an automatic self-positioning system that will help a lot in piloting for inexperienced pilots and that comes with VR Drone Glasses included in the package itself. Do you want to see the rest of the features? Well, don't miss our review.

VR Drone Autoflight design and materials

Both the device and the control are manufactured in quality materials and with a pleasant touch. The drone is quite robust, resists falls without problems and comes equipped with protections that we can install to make the first test flights without risk of damaging the blades of the device. The controller has a rubbery feel very pleasant and that adds a quality bonus to the product. The weight of the control is quite light, ideal to prevent our hand from getting tired during flight.

The quality of the packaging it is higher than expected in a product of this range; The package is robust and comes with a handle so it helps us to transport the drone comfortably. In addition, all the products come completely fitted with several pads so that we can transport them without risk of them moving and damaging during the trip.

Drone camera

The drone camera is Wide angle HD and transmits live video to be able to do FPV flights. It also allows you to record images and videos, both on an SD card and directly on the smartphone memory. To record on the SD card you will have to extract the camera from the drone (you have to press a tab) and inside you will see a slot where you can put the card that comes inside the USB memory.

The camera can be adjusted in several different positions, which helps a lot to prevent the blades from coming out in the videos when we want to make a video of a flight and to adjust the most appropriate vision when we are about to fly in the first person.

Drone Features

As we have previously commented, the VR Drone Autoflight is an initiation drone pretty easy to fly. It also has a self-positioning mode that is capable of detecting the elements that are in its environment to prevent you from making movements that put a possible accident at risk. This feature is great for inexperienced users but can be a bit awkward to use when you're a more experienced pilot.

The device is robust and with an appropriate weight to be able to fly outdoors and with a limited wind. The response time is correct, which allows the drone to fly with ease. It comes equipped with automatic take-off and landing button, absolute control, two speeds and an acrobatics mode that allows us to do 360º loops with the touch of a key. According to our tests, battery offers 15 minutes of flight, which are slightly reduced if we put the blade protections when losing some of the aerodynamics of the set.

VR Drone Glasses

VR Drone Glasses are a very simple starter glasses model. Basically they are a case in which you have to insert your smartphone to be able to use the first-person piloting mode and be able to enjoy a first experience in this flight mode. Its placement is very simple, you install the drone app on your mobile, open the slot, place the smartphone adjusting it in the right place to be able to see each part of the screen with each eye, place it back in the glasses and you can start to fly.

The problem with this type of mobile-powered systems is that there are usually a little lag in the video, which in practice makes it difficult for us to pilot the drone if we do not have a certain experience, so we do not recommend that you use this flight mode in your first weeks with the device.

Where to buy the drone?

The VR Drone Autoflight It is available in the Juguetronica online store at a price of € 199. As we have commented, it is a very good value for money for an entry-level drone that is really easy to fly even for less experienced pilots.
