WhatsApp has a new record: 1.000 billion daily users

WhatsApp achieves a new record of daily users

We believe that the following figures have shown that although social networks are important in the daily lives of users, instant messaging applications are even more so. This is the case of WhatsApp. It has many detractors and more since Facebook took over its services. Now eThis has not prevented the records from having arrived and each year the number has increased.

Last year the WhatsApp team announced that they managed to have a quota of 1.000 million users per month. However, that same figure is the one shown by the most popular instant messaging application on a daily basis. That is, as they have announced again on the official blog, WhatsApp has achieved a quota of 1.000 daily users. But the figures do not remain here, they have specified what the daily numbers are.

WhatsApp gets 1000 billion daily users

To begin with, from the 1.000 million monthly users we now have 1.300 million. Also, the daily sending of messages around the world is quite overwhelming. The first: 55.000 billion text messages are sent daily. As for the multimedia issue, the figures are not as spectacular as the previous one, but it continues to rise. Daily, WhatsApp users share 1.000 billion videos and 4.500 billion photos.

Meanwhile, the team of WhatsApp also states among the figures that its instant messaging application is available in a multitude of languages —60 to be exact—. And it is that you just have to look back to see what has meant the inclusion in the mobility market of applications like this. A few years ago, the great popularity of BlackBerry mobiles was reached thanks to services such as BlackBerry messenger. It was a closed messaging system that allowed Canadian terminal users to engage in conversations with each other. And the best: in real time, a novelty in those times. However, being able to do it from any platform -this is what WhatsApp achieved- made this type of terminal a bit forgotten.
