Design and materials: Big and simple

Regarding the design, we find a front not too much used, but enough for the price range that this handles Wiko Y80.We have three color variants: Gradient blue, gold and black. The only model that uses a white front is the one that uses the gold back. We have rounded edges on the front with its almost 6-inch panel, buttons on the screen and a selfie camera, leaving the entire button on the right side. Hardware without boasting

Regarding memory RAM we will have 2 GB too tight for these times and with a single configuration, while the storage yes we can vary it between 16 GB and 32 GB depending on the price, the 16 GB version being insufficient these days. In any case, we have a microSD card slot to overcome this impediment.

With regards to GPU we have a PowerVR IMG8322 that has not shown effectiveness in graphic processing tasks, discarding games like PUBG satisfactorily enough for Candy Crush and casuals. We do not have a fingerprint sensor, in exchange we have native but basic facial unlocking, coverage 4G in the Spanish bands and DualSIM system, 802.11bgn WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, USB-OTG and a little more.

A sufficient screen and a camera at its price

As for the screen we have 5,99 inches, use an IPS / LCD panel offering a resolution HD + with a 19: 9 aspect ratio that will allow us to consume content in a pleasant way. We have one 269 ​​pixel density per inch, in the line of phones of this price. It offers a sufficient brightness for most indoor and outdoor situations, it is well calibrated and taking into account the price I do not find any notable defects.. The consumption of multimedia content such as videos on YouTube or movies on Netflix is ​​sufficient, although the HD + resolution on such a large panel may be insufficient for many.

As for the cameras, in this price range we find some better alternatives, but that do not stand out excessively on this Wiko Y80, Photography is usually the least decisive aspect in entry-level telephony, it is defended in good lighting conditions but the detail falls to minimum levels as soon as there is no light:

The battery is its strong and differential point

This terminal has a 4.000 mAh battery and that is the only reason why you could bet on it instead of others that for a lower price offer identical hardware and even better depending on which sections. Clearly this Wiko Y80 is designed for the youngest public of all or the most advanced age. It offers sufficient performance for sporadic photography without showing off, using social networks such as Facebook or WhatsApp but without asking for performance tasks in which case running Android 9.0 Pie we begin to have performance problems. It is an interesting option for the price it handles, however, Wiko, unlike on other occasions, has decided to remain fairly continuous, offering a product that adapts to the price you pay for it.
