WIM and WIM Lite are Wiko's new high-speed bet

Can you think of a better place than the Circuito del Jarama to put a new device and its dual sensor camera to the test? The truth is that Wiko could not think of anything better than to cite a select group of media in that special place, and give us the opportunity to record images with the Wiko WIM's dual camera.

We have had a very close experience with this device that has left us quite surprised, that's why We want to tell you what the price will be and of course what are the characteristics of the new Wiko WIM. So stay with us and don't miss a single detail.

Its strengths are the camera and design

We are facing a phone with a dual camera developed by Qualcomm and DxO that has a video stabilization system that proved to defend itself quite well in the Jarama Circuit. Your recording quality video is 4K and has stabilization system and Live Auto Zoom by Vidhance, but that is not all, and it is that all this technology is also incorporated incorporated into the 16 Mpx front camera, in turn accompanied by another flash.

You can display your photographic skills with the Artistic Blur mode, the way in which Wiko integrates the "portrait" or Bokeh effect in a device that could not be absent, without a doubt. It also incorporates the pure black and white photo mode as one of its sensors uses this color gamut offering proven quality results, professional mode and a world of possibilities with live filters, similar to Instagram or Facebook skins. Obviously none of this would make sense without incorporating the function of saving in RAW format of the photographs, thus, it will be within the reach of even professionals.

In turn, it has an advanced 16MP front camera so your selfies always have the perfect light. It also has an automatic HDR mode that regulates the lighting of the camera, accompanied by the rest of the software functionalities such as the rear camera.

As for the design, we find a very special plastic back that is as bright and comfortable to the touch as a Samsung Galaxy S on duty. On the other hand, the sides are metallic and an aquamarine green tone is offered which we quite liked, but they will also have a gold color edition that we would have liked to see. The design is not in question.

On the front we find the fingerprint reader, a fairly comfortable mechanical button. Although we will have the three buttons on the screen, we can ignore them if we assign the functions of those buttons to the front button itself, something that seems more comfortable and also allows us to take advantage of the entire screen, a success on the part of Wiko.

General characteristics

We will find 4GB RA memoryM accompanied by a processor Snapdragon TM626 from Qualcomm that ensures power, performance and autonomy. Of course we will have 64GB of internal storage which will be expandable with microSD memories (up to 128GB). Finally we will have 4G connectivity and NFC chip to be able to make mobile payments with this fantastic device, among other things. The front panel will have a 2.5D glass and a size of 5,5 inches at Full HD AMOLED resolution offering a density of 401 ppi.

The operating system will be Android 7.1 Nougat, that is, to the last. In autonomy it gives us more than enough 3.200 mAh with Qualcomm fast charge, plus FM radio, GPS, 3,5mm jack port and stereo speakers. As a negative point, that we will use microUSB for charging, we expected USB-C.

WIM Lite is the little brother

For his part, the little brother will have 3GB of RAM t the processor Qualcom's Snapdragon TM435. For storage we will have 32GB available, and the rest of the functionalities present in the Wiko WIM as a fingerprint reader (this time on the back), except for fast charging, despite having no less than 3.000 mAh.

It has a 13 Mpx main camera with Sony IMX258 sensor, a f / 2.0 aperture and Dual Led flash

We were able to test both devices in the most rigorous of the direct ones and the truth is that they gave us fantastic sensations, we are eager to receive the first units of both devices to tell you well how they defend themselves in a real environment. Right there we were able to carry out photographic and video recording tests and the result was fantastic, in this way Wiko wants to make a small leap to the upper-middle range, something that it had already achieved on the street with the Wiko Ufeel Prime.

Prices and availability

Both devices will hit the market on July 15 in quite striking colors such as gold and intense reds. For his part, Wiko WIM will cost € 449 since its launch, while the Lite version will start from € 229. Both very attractive prices if we take into account all the hardware they include.
