Xiaomi Mi Mix, a 6.4-inch smartphone without frames

Xiaomi has officially presented the expected Mi Note 2 that has not left almost anyone indifferent, and also its new virtual reality glasses baptized as My VR. In addition, it has also had time in a fairly long event to show us a conceptual phone that shows us where the Chinese manufacturer wants to direct its future within the mobile phone market.

As it was the famous “One More Thing” so many times used by Apple, Xiaomi has shown us the Xiaomi Mi Mix, a mobile device with a spectacular 6.4-inch screen and that has absolutely no frame as you can see in the video that heads this article.

Although at the moment it is only a very good-looking project, for which it has teamed up with Philippe Starck to achieve a design with a great class, Xiaomi has confirmed that its intention is to launch it on the market and sell it in a official very soon.

The screen occupies 91.3% of the front

Xiaomi

Without a doubt, if this Xiaomi Mi Mix draws attention for something, it is because its screen, which occupies nothing more and nothing less than 91.3% of the front and especially for its design.

To achieve this, the Chinese manufacturer has had to work very intensively and it is that many components are housed in the front of any terminal that will disappear from this device. For example, the proximity sensor is now hidden behind the screen and works with ultrasound and the front camera has become practically tiny, reducing its size by up to 50%.

In addition we find a system baptized as "Cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic technology" that replaces the traditional speaker, which apparently will offer us a better sound quality.

Design doesn't compromise on power or performance

Many of us could think that getting a front part where the screen is the main protagonist could compromise the power or performance of any terminal, but this Xiaomi Mi Mix will be anything but any device. And it is that inside it will mount a Snapdragon 821, the same that we find in the Xiaomi Mi5S or in the Mi Note 2.

As for the RAM, it will be equipped with 6GB by 256GB of internal storage. To finish with the specifications, as has been announced at the event will have a 16 megapixel main camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The battery will be 4.400 mAh and of course it will feature Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.

Price and availability of the Xiaomi Mi Mix

If you have been wondering throughout the article if this smartphone is going to reach the market in an official way, Xiaomi's answer is a resounding yes, although at the moment there is no official date. Of course, rumors already suggest that it could begin to be available in the month of November, or what is the same almost at the same time as the Xiaomi Mi Note 2.

Its price has been set at 3.499 yuan for the lowest model that will have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For its part, the superior model, and the one that we will all want to get our hands on, with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage would hit the market with a price of 3.999 yuan or what is the same about 550 euros to change.

At the moment we will have to wait for an official date for the launch of the device to be confirmed and above all, and allow me to be an unbeliever, if the fiction we have seen today looks like reality. If so, we will be facing what is possibly the best terminal on the market thanks to its screen without frames that will allow us to enjoy an unparalleled way of photographs or any video. We have all dreamed of a smartphone with only a screen and it seems that Xiaomi is very close to achieving it.

Do you think that the Xiaomi Mi Mix will officially hit the market resembling what we saw today at the Xiaomi event?. Tell us your opinion in the space reserved for comments on this post or through any of the social networks in which we are present.
