It took 13 minutes for the Amazon drone to make its first delivery

It seems that Amazon's deliveries and parcel couriers could change sooner than we think. In the United Kingdom, the first delivery of a package was made with the service Amazon Prime Air in just 13 minutes from the moment the purchase was made until the customer received the package in the garden of his house. Obviously this buyer collaborates directly with Amazon and we are not dealing with a real deal (although the video is) but the whole process is carried out naturally as if it were a regular user.

The drone chosen for this type of delivery allows reaching high speeds and carrying a maximum weight of 2,6 kg, the maximum distance is 25 kilometers. On the other hand, it is expected that the benefits of these drones Keep improving in terms of the weight they can carry and the maximum distance for shipments of this type that are expected to become real in 2018.

This is the video in which the real process of this first delivery drone flight is shown:

There is no doubt that these types of deliveries are exclusive to specific places and cannot be used in all the locations where Amazon works. The drone uses an integrated GPS that guides it at all times, but nowadays the laws of each country are different and this is an issue that must be completed. Also in a rural environment the drone does not have to deal with so many obstacles and it performs better take a small package from the Amazon warehouse to the address. In any case, Bezos wants to implement this type of distribution in some countries and continues with the clear idea of officially using drones for it in a couple of years.

Let's face it this is never going to happen. The human being, yes, we are bad, we feel envy, jealousy and other feelings that are only of our race. In short, there will not be a single drone alive or in the hands of Amazon
