We all know that advertising industry can make a lot of money. Such is the case that surely on some occasion you will have read how with web pages of millions of visitors a day you can generate quite high income and even making videos for YouTube where there are not few users who get several dozen a month for so only post videos on the platform.

It is true that we are talking about success stories that do not correspond to the true reality that is lived month by month, although it serves to explain how there are certain people who earn a lot of money thanks to the advertising industry and a good job. On this occasion I want to present you a case where the easy way has been chosen, a group of hackers who, thanks to their extensive knowledge, manage to gain between 3 and 5 million dollars a day thanks to your work. This is what they assure from White Ops.

A group of Russian hackers manages to scam the advertising industry.

This group of hackers, christened by the White Ops guys as AFK13, Ad Fraud Komanda, have been working since September 15, although it was not until October 2016 when they managed to operate at their maximum capacity. During all this time the group has worked on create more than 6.000 domains, registered with names that seemed to belong to large corporations in order, already within the domain itself, to create 250.000 different URLs whose only content was a video ad.

The true value of all this work has consisted in tricking the algorithm that selects the URLs where the ads are displayed into selecting their advertising space over other websites. Having achieved this, the group has been working on creating a bot farm implemented in different Data Centers in order to generate traffic to their own web pages while entering the ads.

In this simple way, or at least explaining it seems relatively simple, those bots managed to access about 300 million ads a day getting advertising revenue, as you can see, was really high.
