Amazon Echo will arrive in Spain with Alexa speaking in Spanish soon

Amazon Echo

The market for smart speakers has become in the last two years a necessity for major software developers such as Google, Apple and Microsoft. Amazon was the one who inaugurated this category in 2014, launching the first Amazon Echo, a device with which we could interact through voice commands.

As we can read in La Vamguardia, Jeff Bezos's boys would be about to launch the Amazon Echo smart speakers on the Spanish market. This is possible thanks to the fact that Alexa, the assistant of these smart speakers, has learned Spanish, the third most spoken language in the world.

According to La Vangiardia, the launch is imminent, citing sources related to this release. The probable launch date is estimated for Amazon Prime Day, a special day for the company in which it offers interesting discounts for only 24 hours. Every year, Amazon products are the ones that receive significant discounts, so it is not unreasonable to think that it could be a fantastic date to put it on sale.

Currently in Spain, we do not have at our disposal no smart speaker for sale, since both the Google Home (and its derivatives) together with the HomePod, are not officially sold in our country, despite the fact that both assistants speak Spanish perfectly.

Amazon would put on sale the Amazon Echo Spot for 59 euros, the most economical version with fewer features. The most updated version would be available for 99 euros, while the more complete Echo version would be available for 159 euros. At the moment we do not know if the Echo Show will arrive in Spain initially. This device integrates a touch screen from where we can access video content in addition to allowing us to make video calls to other compatible Echo devices.
