An attack on child pornography takes 20% of the Deep Web

As many of you know, the Deep Web is that part of the web that, due to its content, is not indexed and in order to access them we have to use different tools. One of the main servers on the Deep Web, Freedom Hosting II, which houses some 10.000 pages, was taken down this weekend. Those responsible for this hack, which some claim to be an Anonymous group, have contacted Motherboard, to affirm that this attack has been carried out made to fight child pornography. It is not the first attack that this type of server has uploaded, since in 2011 and 2014 several services of this type were also eliminated through attacks.

But taking down the servers has not been the only thing they have done, they have also made a copy of all the content of the web pages (74 GB) to demonstrate that most of the web pages that this server hosts are related to pornography childish, so the administrator must be aware of it yes or yes. In addition, they also ensure that the database of all users of this type of page has been copied.

To protect users, these hackers have removed personal data from the database before sending it to the FBI, so that it can at least investigate how these types of networks operate. According to one of those responsible, he had no intention of taking down the Freedom Hosting II servers, since he was just browsing it, but when he realized that most of their web pages were intended for child pornography, suggested that users paid to host this type of content, content that the administrator should be well aware of. It was then that he decided to take control and take down the server.
