Android Wear 2.0 launch is one day early: February 8

Android Wear 2.0

Many are not, many are the users who are waiting like water in May for the launch of the final version of Android Wear 2.0, a version that will bring a large number of new features compared to the current version and with which Google wants make smartwatches managed by its Android Wear operating system a little more independent. A few weeks ago we echoed a tweet from Evan Blass in which he stated that Android Wear 2.0 would hit the market on February 9. Evan being the source, we could have few doubts about it. But apparently this date has been advanced, one day to be exact. It will be on February 8 when the final version is released and it will do so together with the two new models of LG smartwatches. This new date has also been confirmed by Evan Blass himself.

Throughout the past year very few new models have been launched on the market, in part due to the delay in the launch of Android Wear 2.0, a delay that has led to the abandonment of some of its main manufacturers, such as Motorola, leaving this division on hold until it is more fruitful. But in addition to the delay, we must also take into account that the great Android Wear update is compatible with all terminals on the market, since the oldest ones like the original Moto 360 will be left out of it.

Among the main novelties that Android Wear 2.0 will offer us, we find own app store, which will allow us to find exclusive applications for our Android Wear in a faster and easier way. But in addition, Google has also been working so that smartwatches equipped with its operating system can also be used to make payments, just as it can be done with the Apple Watch since its launch.
