We had been nothing more and nothing less than three consecutive quarters in which iPhone sales had fallen, fully affecting Apple's financial results. Yesterday everyone expected that those of Cupertino would announce a new drop in sales, this time from iPhone 7 and the 7 iPhone Plus as main leads, but the announcement was very different.

And is that Apple announced financial results of authentic records where iPhone sales have surged. In addition, during the last quarter of 2016 they managed to set a new sales and income record.

Tim Cook, the CEO of the company of the bitten apple, explained it as follows;

We're excited that our Christmas quarterly results resulted in the highest revenue quarter for Apple in its history, and several records have been broken along the way.

We've sold more iPhones than ever before and set a revenue record for the iPhone, Services, Mac, and Apple Watch.

In total Apple managed to ship a total of 78.3 million iPhones, which generated revenues of $ 54.380 billion. In the same period last year, a total of 74.8 million iPhones were sold and revenues of $ 51.640 billion were generated. Another of the great protagonists, in terms of sales, was the Apple Watch, of which sales figures were not revealed.

It seems that in Cupertino the sun rises again, if at some point it did go and it seems, according to Cook's own words that what is coming will be even better.

Services revenue has grown strongly over the last year, thanks to record customer activity in the App Store, and we are very excited about the products we have on the way.

Are you surprised by the financial results published yesterday by Apple?.
