Apple withdraws the LG Ultrafine 5k from the online store

During the presentation of the new MacBook Pro, Apple presented the new monitors that would reach the market to replace the Thuderbolt Display, which months before the Cupertino guys had withdrawn from circulation. These monitors, available in 4k and 5k resolutions, were designed in collaboration with the Korean firm LG. After many months of waiting, at the end of December, Apple opened the deadline to reserve the 5k model, model was experiencing manufacturing delays. For a couple of weeks, many users have complained of flickering and interference on these monitors, monitors that connect via USB-C to the new MacBook Pro among other compatible equipment.

A user found, after many tests, that the model with 5k resolution suffered from interference and flickering when it was near a router. After contacting LG, the firm acknowledged that this model had not been covered with the usual protection to prevent electromagnetic signals from interfering with its operation. LG launched a program for all affected users to take their monitor to the nearest technical service so that you replace the monitor with another.

But of course, the problem was still present in all the models manufactured until the beginning of February when LG verified and recognized the fault, so Apple has been forced to withdraw this particular model from sale, until LG factory fixes this problem and again has units that do not suffer from this type of interference. This serious design flaw by LG, may ruin the trust that Apple had placed in this company to manufacture a monitor to replace the Thunderbolt Display. For almost 20 years, Apple has designed and manufactured its own devices, and once it does, it has backfired.
