Canon has presented the new queen of its high-end compact cameras. As you well know, this range is known as PowerShot - EOS refers to its reflex range. And the new protagonist that crowns that range is the Canon PowerShot G1X Mark III. This new model is thinner, less heavy and relies on reflex-type controls and ASP-C sensor.
The Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III is a small camera that does not have interchangeable lenses. On the other hand, the one it includes has 3x magnification (equivalent to 35 mm) with a brightness of f 2.8-5.6. Likewise, sensor is ASP-C and the company compares it with the one that equips one of its reflex models, more specifically the EOS 80D. To this sensor we must add the latest Japanese image processor (DIGIC 7) and the inclusion of an autofocus Dual Pixel CMOS AF. The latter manages to capture the images quickly and accurately. The company offers the figure of 0,09 seconds, which is not bad at all.
What else can we tell you? Well, if you take a look at its design, you can see that this is not a normal compact camera. Canon has opted to include a distribution of its controls very close to what you would find on your SLR. It's more, this Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III looks like a little DSLR.
On the other hand, according to the company, this model is 14,8 millimeters thinner than its predecessor, as well as 16% smaller. Meanwhile, in this model they have opted to include an OLED viewfinder across the center of the body, as well as a fully folding 3-inch touch screen and thus offer more possibilities when shooting.
Lastly, the Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III offers Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC and microHDMI connections. Meanwhile, its rechargeable battery has a range of 200 shots on a single charge. Now, you can get to 250 shots if you use the "ECO" mode. According to the brand, this mode lengthens its autonomy by 25% more. According to Canon's own online store, this PowerShot G1 X Mark III would arrive at the end of next November at a price of $ 1.300.
