The Chinese government is not characterized by giving free rein to its citizens and every two by three is invented a new regulation to limit even more if possible, their access to the internet. Last February the government of the country released a new law in which it stated that the use of VPN by users was illegal, but it seems that today, citizens have passed the ban through the Arc de Triomphe and they continue to use this type of service to bypass the blockages of the Great Firewall of the government. To try to tackle this problem, obviously for the government, the government is forcing all operators that offer internet in the country to proceed to block this service.
As Bloomberg has learned, access affects all users in the country, but not to certain companies, companies that have to reliably justify the use of this type of services in their work. The only alternative that the country's users had to be able to access any type of information that circulates on the Internet and that was blocked by the government was through this type of service. But that is over.
This is one more move the Chinese government makes to limit access to information liable to cause bad thoughts among its citizens. The only remedy that may be left to those users who want to continue accessing any type of information that is natively blocked by the government is through prosees such as Shadowsock, but it will be a matter of time before the Chinese authorities also begin to limit access to internet through these services.
