Foxconn has always been criticized for harsh working conditions in addition to the high suicide rate that their workers have suffered in recent years. But this time we cannot say that the working conditions have to do with the death of these two people. The first Foxconn employee was found last month outside Foxconn's Zhengzhou facility while the second death occurred in a train accident while the worker went to his job. Both employees were from the company's facilities in Zhengzhou, Henan province.
After announcing the death of these workers, Foxconn has issued the following statement:
Our efforts to improve the conditions of our workforce are ongoing and we are determined to do everything we can to anticipate the changing needs of our workforce.

Foxconn is reducing the labor required to assemble the devices it manufactures at its facilities using robots.
