A Geekbech test reveals the extraordinary performance of the iPhone 7 Plus

Many are the data and details that have been revealed about the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, especially in terms of design and hardware features. Thanks to the performance test Geekbench filtered, now we also know the power that is capable of developing the new A10 processor which, as you know, will mount this new generation of smartphone developed by the company with the bitten apple.

As we already revealed at the time, the new iPhone 7, in any of its versions, will be equipped with the new A10 processor manufactured in the process of 16nm FinFet which, among other things, will allow raising the frequency of the internal clock to 2,4 GHz, a figure that is much higher than that offered by the previous A9 processor equipped in the iPhone 6s terminals. Thanks to this data, we all expected that the new iPhone 7 would be much more powerful, so much so as to, at least, be at the height of all its rivals and even be able to overcome them.

Returning to the leaked performance test data, an image that you can see right at the end of this same post, we find that the supposed iPhone 7 Plus that has been tested gets a score of 3379 in section Single-core, a more than attractive data if we consider that the iPhone 6s with the A9 processor at the time achieved a score of 2526. Comparing this with other terminals on the market, the Snapdargon 820 achieved a score of 1896 while the Exynos 8890 processor that wearing the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 reached 2067.

On the other hand, if you look at the column multi-core, iPhone 7 Plus achieves a score of 5495, improving the 4404 points obtained by the A9 processor of the iPhone 6s. Comparing this score again with other major market benchmarks, the Snapdragon reached 5511 points while the Galaxy Note 7, in multi-core, reached 6100 points.
