Just a few days ago Imagination Technologies gathered its main shareholders to announce its new PowerVR architecture, same that will arrive immediately to your Furian GPUs. We are talking specifically about a complete redesign of its GPU, which, for several generations, incorporate Apple's A-series processors which, as you will surely remember, today use terminals within the company such as the iPhone and the iPad.
Among the new features that this GPU presents, highlight one that is becoming basic for all terminals that will reach the market in the next generation, such as the fact that they must be able to offer Immersive, high-resolution graphic content which means that they should offer compatibility with applications virtual reality y artificial reality (VR and AR respectively).

In the press release published by the directors of Imagination Technologies we find:
Applications such as AR / VR that require higher graphics resolutions and refresh rates, and emerging applications such as ADAS and artificial intelligence require higher computing efficiency.
With Furian, the products that integrate them will be able to offer higher resolution, immersive graphics content and data computation for long periods of time with limited power consumption.
Among the most interesting characteristics of this new GPU, it should be noted, as announced by Imagination Technologies, that it offers a performance improvement, comparing with the current version, 70% to 90%. Undoubtedly a novelty that, if it reaches the iPhone and iPad, will allow complex processes and very little time, something ideal if we take into account certain rumors that suggest that Apple would be working on solutions such as face detection and 3D selfies, applications based the use of artificial reality, which would reach the next generation of iOS devices.
