LG introduces the first 88-inch TV with 8k OLED resolution

In a few days, the 2018 Consumer Electronic Show, better known as CES, will begin, the world's largest fair related to consumer technology, which is held in Las Vegas for another year, and where all consumer devices will be displayed that will be launched throughout the year, along with some preview of future projects that some companies may have, projects that are obviously well advanced.

As is usual in this type of fairs, some companies begin to present some of their novelties days before the event, in order to warm up engines and incidentally capture the attention of all those media that we are aware of everything that happens in most important consumer technology fair in the world. LG has been one of the first to present the first 88-inch TV with 8k resolution and OLED panel.

Throughout this last year, many have been of the users who have chosen to renew their "old" televisions to adopt the models with 4k HDR technology, now that prices have dropped and have become a product much closer to the general public. It is now, when LG wants to show that it has not been idle, but has been quite busy increasing the possibilities of OLED panels and 8k technology.

Until now, the largest model with an OLED screen was 77 inches and "only" reached 4k resolution, a device model currently offered by both LG and Sony and Panasonic in the market, although the latter two buy the panels directly from LG, who has focused on OLED technology, while Samsung is doing so on QLED technology.

Currently, LG is the largest manufacturer of OLED displays on the market, although the Japanese market is becoming an important alternative to this type of panel. To try to continue being a reference in this market, LG has made a significant investment in order to remain not only the best manufacturer, but also the one with the highest production capacity currently available on the market.
