Niantic seeks players to convert Pokémon Go maps to 3D

Pokémon GO

By now I'm sure everyone knows the Nintendo game that gave the Japanese company such success, well, it seems that now Pokémon Go is preparing to implement a new version in which the maps are much more real for your players.

In this case it is about getting an adaptation of the map in 3D, so the immersion of the player will undoubtedly be greater. This obviously requires a lot of effort as all the streets have to be "mapped", so Niantic is asking its players for help to implement this improvement.

Pokémon Go

In parts and without haste

This is, as we say, a real effort, but the result would be spectacular with all the maps in 3D while the Pokémon are captured. To do this, some of the most important squares and parks in the cities will begin to be changed to 3D format and the streets, avenues, etc. will continue. The work is huge and the game developers are really eager to start implementing these types of maps in the game as it will grant you a much more real vision.

John Hanke himself, explained to the media his intention to implement this type of maps and maybe one of those who collaborates in this improvement is you:

The "AR maps" are really important to enjoy augmented reality. We want the players to build the board and thanks to the cameras of our players' mobile devices it will be possible to digitize and expand the player's perspective, the 3D maps in Pokémon Go will improve the user experience.

I'm not really a Pokémon Go player, but those who are currently playing the popular Nintendo game are sure to like these kinds of improvement initiatives. We will see this summer's update with how much news arrives and Hopefully you can enjoy this real 3D map soon.
