Nissan presents the first slippers that "park" themselves

If you plan to buy your running shoes or house shoes, known as slippers, are about to pass away, it is likely that the Nissan firm is not one of the options to consider, at least until now. . The automaker Nissan, has presented, and will put on sale shortly, some slippers that as you take them off to go out on the street "park" by themselves. Most likely, at least in most cases, when we take off our slippers to leave the house, we leave them on the side or lying around haphazardly. In Japan, most homes offer us slippers that we have to put on before entering the house.

Of course, Nissan has no intention of entering the shoe market or accessories, but with this technology, which can also be applied to other elements of our home such as cushions, tables or chairs, it wants to stand out the autonomous parking technology offered by its vehicles, such as the new Nissan Leaf, an autonomous parking system that is responsible for parking the vehicle in the first free space it finds.

This is not Nissan's first project to give ordinary objects autonomous operation. In 2016, the company designed a set of table and chairs that, upon detecting that no one was occupying them they were ordered under the table, not only to maintain order, but also to reduce the space they occupy. Regarding slippers, it is highly unlikely that these slippers will be able to be sold outside of Japan, but like any other type of "curious" project it is likely that they could be sold to other countries. Time will tell.
