Samsung presents the first monitor with QLED technology, curved and Thunderbolt 3 connection

On January 9 and until the 12th, the most important consumer technology fair of the year is celebrated, a fair that, as in previous years, will be held again in Las Vegas. But as usual, large companies are already in the city, and are taking advantage of the days before the CES, to present some of the products that will arrive throughout the year.

A couple of days ago we informed you of the presentation of the first 88-inch television, with 8k resolution and OLED technology, being the first manufacturer in the world to launch a television of such a resolution, size and making use of OLED technology. Now it is the turn of its rival, Samsung, who has once put OLED technology aside to focus on QLED, has presented the first curved monitor with this technology.

This Samsung CJ971 offers us a resolution of 34 inches, uses QLED technology, is curved and also offers us a Thuderbolt 3 connection, a connection with which we can reach transfer rates of up to 40 GB per second, 4 times more than the USB 3.0 connection. This monitor also offers us a power of 85 w, so we can use it connected to our laptop making use of the energy it provides so that we always we are going to have the laptop fully charged.

The resolution that this monitor reaches is 3.440 x 1.440, and it offers us a latency of 4ms, ideal for those users who want to use this new monitor to enjoy their favorite games. Regarding the price, the Korean company invites us to visit its booth at CES to find out both its price and its expected launch date in the market.
