A solution to this problem is the one just presented by a group of researchers, thanks to their work they have managed to develop a new type of Very slim, flexible lithium-ion battery with self-healing properties. This battery can be folded or rolled as much as the user wants since, in case of breakage of any of its components, it can repair itself by just applying a little heat to the area.
Going into a little more detail, tell you that these batteries have electrodes made up of parallel layers of carbon nanotubes where the necessary lithium compounds have been embedded so that the nanoparticle-shaped electrodes can fix themselves. For its part, the electrolyte is made up of a cellulose-based gel with an aqueous lithium sulfate solution and no toxic elements.
