Despacito is already the most played video on YouTube

A few weeks ago we informed you of the speed in terms of the number of reproductions that the Despacito video is having, a video that lacked very little, if it followed that rhythm, to overcome Gangnam Style. Said and done, the video just hit nearly 3.000 billion views 200 days after hitting YouTube.

The official video of the song by Dady Yankee and Luis Fonsi has become the most played video above Gangnam Style, which has dropped to third position, and the Again video by Charlie Puth and Wii Khalifa, the official song of Fast and Furious 7, has risen to second place. This song has become a tribute to the sadly late Paul Walker.

It never rains to everyone's liking, and surely to the liking or misfortune of many of you, this song is sure to be present at every party or celebration you attend throughout this summer. Despacito takes 12 weeks, practically since its launch among the list of most popular songs in the United States, in addition to having become the best-selling album, something that had not happened in all history.

The last song in Spanish that has had a similar success to Despacito was Macarena de Los Del Río, a song that has been danced by the presidents of the United States, has been played several times in the Superbowl and is currently played a million times each month on Spotify. That song hit the market when streaming music and YouTue were still a distant dream in the minds of its creators. It is likely that I could have stood up to him if that song had had the internet support that we can find today and that incidentally has served many artists to become famous.
