There are more and more reports registered by LG of users who have one of the new LG models, the LG V20 that are reporting the breakage of the glass that protects the rear camera sensor. Sometimes we are not fully aware of the importance of this part of the device since we always see that the screen is protected with good glass, but the camera is another important point in current mobile devices and sometimes we are not entirely aware of how important it is to the smarphone.
The rear is where current devices are focusing the most since it is assumed that the greatest advances are found mostly in the camera of these, which makes the rear ones undergo important aesthetic changes leaving the camera too exposed and forcing manufacturers to take a little more care of the components that cover them, in this case the glass of the LG V20 is suffering too many breaks.
Many manufacturers, knowing first-hand what can happen with these protective glasses so exposed to bumps or scratches, decide to mount a glass Corning Gorilla Glass or sapphire to mitigate problems. But sometimes this does not work and we can see how several users suffer this type of breakage in the glass leaving the camera almost completely useless.
Several Reddit users warn of these problems and some others seeing what happened report that it would be good to leave the protective sheet that comes from the factory on the device covering the glass of the rear camera. This obviously we do not think it is of great help in the event of a blow, but it is evident that if we carry this device without a cover on the back we are somewhat more exposed to this happening to us. LG, for its part, has not made an official statement, but if this continues to happen, they may have to act.
