This drone will allow you to charge your electric vehicle if you run out of battery

That electric cars are the future is something that very few of us doubt today. That the problem of battery life also seems far from being solved is something that many users also doubt. The battery life remains practically the same as 10 years ago, technology for which it seems that time does not pass.

While testing new batteries to increase storage capacity, some companies are looking to the future, creating devices that allow electric vehicles, be able to restart if they run out of battery. A clear example is the drone that will allow us to charge our electric vehicle if necessary.

The Baek company is working on a roadside assistance service project for electric vehicles that will eventually run out of battery in the form of a drone. The operation is very simple, since we would only have to request assistance through the mobile application, an application that using the location of the phone, could quickly locate us to offer us the necessary charge to be able to reach a service station where we can charge our vehicle.

The drone itself would incorporate a connector model compatible with the vehicle, at least until the industry wants to agree on a single connector model, connector that we would have to extract from the drone and plug into our vehicle. The size of the drone, would not be what is said small, since it must integrate a battery powerful enough to allow charging part of the battery of a vehicle so that it can reach a nearby charging area.

The idea itself is not bad, but for this type of drone to see the light, the company would have to reach many commercial agreements so that it had coverage throughout an entire country. But, this problem can also be solved carrying an external battery in the vehicle itself that we can use only in specific cases. In addition, it is unlikely that the owner of an electric vehicle will be unwise when making a trip knowing that the vehicle's charge is not enough.
