This year's iPhone could be called iPhone 6SE not iPhone 7

iPhone 7-port

Despite the fact that many of us are on vacation, the news related to the next iPhone that the Cupertino-based company will launch this year does not stop appearing. The latest rumors claim that the much-rumored iPhone 7 will not be the name of the device that will be presented in September along with the second version of the Apple Watch and the new MacBook Pro with an OLED touch screen on top of the keyboard.

As is usual in most leaks related to the future iPhone, Apfelpage.de echoes a source of Chinese origin that states that Apple is manufacturing the iPhone cases, but instead of showing iPhone 7 shows iPhone 6SE. The publication has not been able to obtain any physical photos to prove this new leak.

But if we take into account that the next model according to all the leaks will be practically identical to the current model, it makes sense that Apple did not want to change the numbering but simply add the letter E at the end of the model that is currently being marketed, so the next model would be the iPhone 6 Special Edition. If it is finally called the iPhone 6SE, the supposed Pro model that some Chinese publications have leaked in recent weeks would make no sense.

The main aesthetic difference that the next iPhone will bring us will be, without finally confirming all the rumors, a thinning of the device, since the 3,5 mm jack to connect the headphones would disappear completely, allowing to obtain an extra space that instead of being used to add more battery, something that users have always demanded, Apple would use it to reduce its size.

I sincerely believe that the current thickness of the most representative models of large companies such as Samsung, Apple, Sony, LG ... it is just and necessary to be able to use the device comfortably and instead of continuing to make them thinner you should either increase the battery capacity or keep improving the camera.
