What are dialog boxes and what are they for?

The word dialog box to all those popup windows that appear in the middle of our common use on the computer, whether provided by a specific program or a page on the Internet or the browser itself. Its presence is not a mere capricious coincidence, always being that we are asked to carry out a specific task such as choosing between a few options or entering a password or username, being always necessary to answer your needs in order to continue in our tasks.

It can well be said that dialog boxes are the method by which one can learn about computing needs of the operating system or website in which we are located, therefore, we understand them as a form of “dialogue”.

We must recognize the presence of two types of dialog boxes, the modal and non-modal ones, the first of which are the most serious since they are in charge of presenting us with notices about a critical case that can put the computer at risk and that requires a solution from us.
