Airbus and Audi join forces to boost their air taxi service

Airbus will test its flying taxi

Voom is the Airbus subsidiary that announced the introduction of its helicopter air taxi service in Mexico City. It is a way to improve mobility in cities. Especially important in the case of the Mexican capital where traffic is a huge problem. So this solution would mean a reduction in the number of vehicles on the road. Although it is expensive. Now, improvements to these services are announced.

Since Airbus has announced its new alliance with Audi. The German carmaker will offer customers transfers to take-off or landing sites. In this way they hope to give a premium service to those customers. In addition, they are going to add this urban transport in their concept of mobility of flying vehicles.

It is not the first time that the two companies have joined forces. Since they have previously teamed up to develop the autonomous flying car. So the collaboration between Airbus and Audi is constant. Now they are looking to give a premium service to users with these Voom helicopters.

Since in this way they will be able to offer a fluid transport solution that allows users to reach their destination in the most efficient way. What's more, the alliance between both companies has been further intensified with new projects. Among them we find Pop Up, an electric vehicle in the form of a capsule, which can be used to move on the road or to fly.

Brazil and Mexico City are the first two destinations where we can see these Voom / Airbus helicopters. They will surely be looking to expand this service to more cities soon. Especially now that its alliance with Audi has been further intensified with new services.
