Amazon joins forces with leading home automation brands to introduce Alexa to their devices

Amazon Echo Dot

In recent days we have known a new Amazon device that tries to improve or rather enhance the usability of Alexa in the home environment. But Amazon in this sector will play differently.

Instead of trying to fight your competition, Amazon will try to join the main distributors of home automation so that they incorporate Alexa as their virtual assistant and thus have this virtual assistant in our smart homes.

Currently we can speak as the only device that has come out of these unions to Nucleus, however there are brands that are collaborating with Amazon to create home automation products with this peculiar software. Their names are not well known but we would be talking about Crestron, Lutron, Control4 or Savant among othersWithout forgetting Nest, an Alphabet company that would also be working with this software.

But they will not be the only ones, an Amazon executive,  Charlie Kindel, has indicated that Amazon's intention is to ally with all, try to bring Alexa to all smart homes. So these companies will not be the only ones we see with Alexa in the coming months.

Alexa will be the most important software within home automation or at least it will be on all devices in the smart home

On the other hand, Alexa already has an SDK that allows you to create applications and software that use this assistant as well as an app that we can install on any mobile or tablet with Android, iOS or Fire OS. And it goes without saying that Amazon Echo, Echo Tap and Echo Dot continue to expand around the worldThey have recently reached Europe, especially the United Kingdom and Germany.

And it seems that it will be one of a kind at the moment. If it is true that there are other virtual assistants such as Siri or Google Now, but the truth is that their integration outside of mobile phones is scarce, not to mention that they do not have tools or allied companies that enhance their virtual assistants, on the other hand, Alexa It is not specialized in mobiles or tablets like Google Now or Siri.

So it seems that the reign of Amazon expands beyond its controversial Kindle, However Will you be as successful and long-lasting with Alexa as you have with Kindle? What do you think?
