Some sources placed the official premiere of this version for next August 29, but finally the new version of Android, Android 9 Pie, officially reaches users who have in their possession a Google Pixel compatible with this new version.
Users who have devices that already have beta versions of the operating system installed will soon be able to enjoy the final version of the OS as well. At the moment we have the official release available via OTA.
The new version comes with several important new features in the system and from what we can see in the notes on the official website of Android 9 Pie, and we already saw in the beta versions released previously the news is mainly focused on gesture navigation, a new panel for notifications, support for smartphones that have the notch, improvements and optimization of resources that improve battery consumption, various contextual suggestions in the App Actions function, improvements in the regulation of the brightness of the screen and much more.
New in terms of functions rather few
The novelties have focused on improving the previous version of the operating system and therefore we can say that the novelties in the functions are rather few. Obviously each and every one of the improvements is welcome for an operating system that focuses above all on correcting errors from the previous version and improving its functionality.
There are some functions of this new version that are still in testing and therefore are not available for use, such as the case of Slice or Digital Wellbeing, it is expected that they will soon start working on the Pixel and later on all smartphones with Android One.
