Android Go, Google's alternative for low-end devices

The cards are on the table, although for years companies have made an effort to offer maximum power without control, which has produced a significant inequality between terminals and companies, now everything has changed. Both users and developers have understood that it is best to maintain a stable level of Android and the hardware of smartphones, that is, optimize them so that they are able to run in good conditions even under notoriously inferior hardware. That is why we are faced with the supremacy of the mid-range when it comes to Android devices. But Google wants to go a step further with Android Go, an operating system designed for "low cost" mobiles.

And not precisely with the intention that people can access cheaper phones, but rather extend the performance of those already present. This operating system will be installed on devices with lower hardware, We do not want to imagine how interesting it would be, for example, the Amazon Kindle Fire 7 (now at € 54) with Android Go. This operating system that will run on devices with 1GB of RAM and even less is designed mainly to run the versions Lite of certain applications with the intention of obtaining better results.

The reality is that applications are getting worse and worse optimized, especially if we talk about companies like Facebook that make life impossible for manufacturers with their: Facebook, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. In this way Android Go will be based on the code of Android O (next Android operating system). In the same way, native Android applications will also enjoy a version Lite that consumes fewer resources, for example Youtube Go, which allows you to download videos over WiFi. Definitely, an operating system for emerging markets that will force developers to jump start.

Very good alternative, it was necessary for less powerful mobiles that also want to use it.
