Andy Rubin's smartphone will be managed by Android

A few days ago an image was leaked of what supposedly would be Andy Rubin's first smartphone, a terminal that had only been heard from rumors and that showed us how the upper part of it barely has frames, very much in the style of Xiaomi Mi MIX . Everything that surrounds this project is kept secret, but it seems that little by little some details have begun to leak. One of the most secretly kept had to do with the operating system that would manage this device, an operating system that Eric Schmdt (Alphabet CEO) has confirmed through a tweet, will be Android.

Andy Rubin, co-founder of Google, left the company a few years ago and it was not clear that Android was going to be its operating system, but of course if you want to be successful in the market, the safe bet is Android, since Tizen or other operating systems hardly have market share. At the moment we do not know when it is expected to arrive on the market, but considering that this project has been in the works for a long time, the Essential project should not take long to see the light of day.

We also don't know if the Android version will be pure or will have a customization layer, something unlikely if Andy Rubin's new project wants to enter the market on the right foot. We also do not know the price at which it could hit the market, but if you do not want the same thing to happen to you as Google with the Pixels, this should not be very high. In addition, the distribution system is another problem that this new device will face, unless Andy Rubin's idea is to initially offer this new device in the United States, something that should not surprise us either.
