Apple Music reaches 17 million users

Apple Music

Since Apple Music began its journey in music streaming services, the Cupertino-based company has not stopped gaining new subscribers. During the first six months, the company gained just over 10 million subscribers, many of them leaving Spotify for Apple's service, as it is integrated into the entire ecosystem of the company. Last March, the numbers rose to 13 million and in June, the company announced that it had just reached 15 million users. In the last keynote on September 7, Apple announced the new subscriber figures for its music service, a figure that rises to 17 million paying subscribers.

For its part, at the moment we have not had news about the number of subscribers that Spotify has gained in everything so far this year. The latest figures that the company announced showed us that the Swedes had just over 30 million paying subscribers, not counting the users who use the service completely free of charge. We do not know today the reason why Spotify has not re-announced its figures, but if they continue at the same pace as Apple Music has followed, they have been even since its launch, the company could be close to 37 million.

Apple Music has been a real headache for all users who abandoned Spotify for Apple's streaming music service, since they were used to a very simple and complete interface, while Apple Music was too complex due to the large number of options it offered, options that were often hidden within various menus. The arrival of iOS 10 and macOS Sierra represents a complete renewal of the Apple Music interface, which will mean an improvement in the interaction of users with the Apple music service.
