Easier backups and migration between iOS and Android thanks to Google Drive

Google Drive

Recently Google has released a new update for the application of Google Drive available for iOS. Among the novelties included in this new version, highlight the one that allows us to now carry out a Backup from our device in the Google cloud, a copy that, in addition to allowing us to save certain information that we can later recover in case of loss, also has an extra function.

As Google announced just a few days ago, the Google Drive update will allow all iOS users to be able to make a backup of quite sensitive and relevant information such as contacts, calendar events, photos and videos that you can have in your terminal. These data, as usual, are stored safely on the servers of the American company.

Google Drive now allows you to migrate your data from iOS to Android much easier, without the need to use third-party applications.

The interesting thing about this new functionality, it is also clear to be able to recover them in case we have to restore our device, is that now in turn it allows us in a much simpler and above all comfortable way, to be able to use this backup to migrate data from iOS to Android. In this way, if you buy any Android device, for example one of the new Pixel, your contacts, videos, photos ... will be transferred to your new phone automatically and without using third-party applications.

If you are going to make a backup with this application, tell you that you can find the option 'make backup'in the Settings section of your phone. As a tip, just tell you that, if you have a lot of photos or videos, the process may take several hours so the best and fastest thing is to do it when you are connected to a WiFi network and the phone is charging.
