Brief history of Mac OS operating systems

On this occasion we are going to dedicate ourselves to talking about the history of the Mac OS operating systems. The first version of Mac OSSystem 1 had a desktop, windows, icons, mouse, menus, and scrollbars. Every time the computer was restarted, all the information disappeared. In addition, you could not work in two applications at the same time because there was no virtual memory. It was impossible to create a folder within another folder, since all the files were stored in the same direction on the disk.

Only in 1988, with System 6, colors were added. To the option of "Erase Disk" a button was added to be able to cancel this action, the option to show the version number of the file was also added.

Two years later, in 1990, System 7 meant a great software change for this time, as the memory improved its capacity to 32b, which allowed Macs to use more than 8 MB of Ram in the operating system.

The tenth and final version of Apple's operating system is the Mac OS X, which was released in 2002. It is worth mentioning that this operating system is based on UNIX. It is important to note that this version introduced a variety of new functions to offer its users a more viable and stable platform than the previous version (Mac OS 9). Among them we can mention preventive multitasking and protected memory, which undoubtedly improved the system's ability to run a variety of applications simultaneously.
