Today's technology allows us to return to the past almost whenever we want. It is a reality that the Nintendo Classic Mini NES has become a true sales success, however, it is the signature of Nintendo and the quality of the design that has ended up evoking its acquisition. However, with a much smaller budget we can build our own emulation center, with a smaller size and without any type of limitations. For this we only need a specific software, a Raspberri Pi and the Bluetooth or via USB control that we have chosen, stay and we will tell you how.
First of all we are going to talk about what we need to build our own mini-size emulation center, these are the components:
- Raspberry Pi (we choose Model 3B)
- HDMI Cable
- Ethernet cable or WiFi Dongle
- Power cord
- MicroSD card
- A Bluetooth or USB remote to choose
We will download the software from RetroPie and of Win32 Disk Imager (Windows) or ApplePi Baker (macOS). Once we have this, we just have to install RetroPie on the SD card using the system imagers we have left earlier.
Now we will insert this SD card with the system image and boot the system. We will see how it asks us to configure the command in question, and when we finish we press the F4 key on the keyboard. Now we have a RetroPie in all its glory. However, we still have work ahead of us, for this we leave you the tutoríal of the companions of Redeszone that indicate the steps to follow.
But making a small summary, now we will have all the basic emulators installed, if what we want is to play the games, it will be easier than it seems, since the RetroPie will create three shared folders on the network, which we will search from our usual PC / Mac , in which we will have to introduce the ROMs of the game that we want in the corresponding folder to your emulator.
Hi Rodo.
Forgive me but I think you couldn't be more wrong. I, the writer of this article and 90% on this topic, have had the NES Classic since yesterday, I love it and in fact we have a review on Monday.
I do not see your attack justified, we only present an alternative. A greeting and thanks for reading.
You spend the day criticizing all the articles we write. I don't quite understand why you keep reading us. We do not force anyone to read us, if you don't like what we publish, you already know what there is.
Hello, I have been a nintendero since my youth (now I am 48) and I assure you that although this toy is cute, if someone does not want to spend the money but likes nes or snes and wants to play them within nintendo circuits, the best alternative (excellent alternative), is to play in the emulators that are in wii for these 2 consoles ... they work great! and you have access to the complete catalog and you are playing them on a native nintendo console 😀
