Carr-E, the Ford hoverboard with which we will move around the city

Carr-E

Kilian Vas, a systems engineer at Ford in Cologne, is the author of the transport system you see on the screen, a project they have dubbed Carr-E and that it is nothing else, as they describe it, than a hoverboard with a somewhat peculiar shape. The idea of creating this system apparently came from its author when he realized the space that all vehicles have to store their spare wheel. With this in mind he decided to create a clean transport system with the exact dimensions so that it could be stored in this place.

According to the exact definition that Ford gives to Carr-E, we are before a four-wheel electric pedestrian assistant. The idea basically, taking into account that it will be increasingly difficult to enter the city center with our car, due to environmental and ecological issues, is that we move with our car to the vicinity of the city we want to visit and, once parked the same, let's use this hoverboard to reach our destination.

Carr-E, Ford's four-wheel electric pedestrian assistant.

As a detail, not only this object will be useful for the movement of people, but structurally it will also help us when it comes to moving or moving heavy objects from one place to another Since you will only have to place the load on Carr-E and it will follow you wherever you go thanks to an electronic transmitter that you must carry with you. Undoubtedly we are facing a clear example of the path that Ford is taking and by which the company wants to go from being considered a car manufacturer to being a provider of mobility solutions inside and outside cities.

As for the future of this system, personally I don't think we will see it in the short or long term in the market although the idea itself is quite good since it raises certain solutions to certain problems that we have today.

These self balancing electric scooters look hilarious to try! Like the Megawheels Two Wheel Electric Scooter !! They convince me more for their "engineering plastic" whose elaboration and processing is more complex than common plastics and therefore withstands low temperatures and also has high resistance to abrasion: O !! This is important in a technological product, and it is a sign that Megawheels trusts the quality of its hoverboads, and can offer a good after-sales service, unlike other manufacturers in the sector.
