Chrome could integrate an ad blocker in all its versions

For some time now, more and more users, tired of suffering from the invasive advertising that is shown on many websites and blogs, resort to the use of ad blockers. However, not all websites show this type of advertising but are equally affected by this type of extensions or services, without users taking into account that thanks to it they can enjoy all its content without any type of subscription, a model of a business that is becoming more and more prevalent in the market, at least among the mainstream media.

Two years ago, Apple opened the door for developers of these types of applications to offer ad blockers through Safari in its version for iOS. But it seems that he is not the only one who has taken this problem into account, since Google's future plans involve integrating an ad blocker in Chrome, in all its versions for mobile and desktop.

If you can't beat your enemy, join him

As we can read in the Wall Street Journal, citing sources related to Google's plans for Chrome, the search engine company intends to add an ad blocker natively, a decision that initially directly affects its business model, but it would make this decision in order to improve the user experience. Obviously the operation would not be the same that we can find in other similar services.

The ads blocked by default would be those included in Coalition for Better Ads, where they are included video ads that play automatically with sound, the happy popup windows (pop-ups) and type ads prestigious, those that show a countdown before displaying content automatically. Google ads are not at any time of the types I just mentioned, so they would not be included in the block.

This measure is aimed at those third-party advertising companies that offer this type of ads, which although it is true can be much more effective than traditional banners, lengthen the loading periods of web pages, consume a large amount of data and cause discomfort among users.

The operation of the Google blocker is simple: if it does not comply with the rules, I block it, period. It is clear that Google will benefit in the long run if it finally releases this blockerAs it will gradually end third-party advertising agencies that use these techniques and potential advertisers will end up using Google. Nobody offers anything for nothing and Google is the first to do so.

It is good that they want to eliminate advertising on the web but to tell the truth I hope that they only eliminate invasive advertising such as popups and scripts that, apart from consuming resources, annoy since most have sounds or are simply false advertising, I am not saying that there are not Advertising because if it is not for it, how is a website maintained? Yes, there are many ways to get money but that is the most convenient for companies and websites.
