Acer's Chromebook 15 is the company's new bet for ChromeOS

For some time now, especially in the United States, Chromebooks have become widely used devices in the education sector, in part thanks to the trust that Google continues to place in these devices managed by ChromeOS and that for a little more than one year, they give us access to the Google Play Store to be able to install any application from the official Android store, a step forward that has only strengthened the success of these devices among users and that has managed to attract the attention of users outside the educational environment to become the main computer of many homes.

Acer was one of the first companies to support this Google project and every year it has renewed its range of products. The latest model that has been presented at the IFA that is being held these days in Berlin, is the Chromebook 15, a 15-inch device made of aluminum and with an approximate battery life of 12 hours, logically depending on the use we make. that it is not the same to use to write, to consult our social networks or to enjoy the games compatible with this ecosystem, which as I have commented above, are available through the Google Play Store.

The IPS screen offers us a Full HD resolution and is available with a touch configuration as an option. Inside we do not find any fan, so we can use it in complete silence without disturbing our surroundings, especially if we are going to use it in class or in a meeting thanks to the latest Intel Celeron dual-core models and Intel processors Quad-core Pentium. Regarding storage, The Chromebook 15 is available in 32 and 64 GB of storage, like RAM, since the company offers us two models of 4 and 8 GB.

Regarding the connections, the Chromebook 15 offers us two USB Type-C ports, an HDMI port, an SD card reader of up to 128 GB and a connection for headphones. It also has a Bluetooth 4.2 connection and of course a Wi-Fi 802.11ac connection. The starting price of this model will be 499 euros and will be available at the end of October in Europe.
