Hoy day 15 the winner of the contest that promoted gedket.com and in which I decided take part not without some misgivings.
Atime it has been shown that the Gedket contest It has been a scam, it is easy to say that one did not finish trusting these gentlemen but I will show them why and how in this chronicle of an advertised scam.
1º) Between the 15th and the 17th Gedket launches his contest to win a ps3.
2º) On the 18th I have knowledge of it and I decide to see what it is about. The first sentence I read in the contest post is the following:
Logically, the next thing I do is see how long the blog is working and surprise! They haven't been online for three months. I wonder then "How many visits will these have so that they can give away a ps3?" and the answer is just one click away.
3º) I see that the page has a link to your statistics, that these are open and that I am just one click away from knowing how many visits we are talking about. Click on the link and new surprise!
Before starting the contest they had an average of only 42 daily visits.
4º) I can't understand how a gift can be made with those visits, but I decide to think that they simply want to gain inbound links, make themselves known and that perhaps for them giving a ps3 is not too much effort. The contest ended on October 30. There were only twelve days left until the contest ended and after having seen the statistics I think "if I am able to derive a minimum of traffic, I win for sure."
5º) So I do my article and when I am going to send you the participation email I realize that they have changed the end date from October 30 to November 15. In spite of everything, I decide to participate, the article was already done, but in the email I warn you that such changes detract from credibility but that I understand that you want to delay it a bit to take advantage of it. They answer me the following:
6º) After the date change happens what I most feared. As the participation period has been increased, the chances of it entering the scene a website with a large volume of visits to unseat us all, clearly increased and in fact it was.
The video page Youtube videos He decides to participate and quickly goes on to lead the list of those who send the most visits to the Gedket contest.
7º) Several days later I notice that the link to the Gedket statistics. Someone decided that it was not convenient for anyone to have access to them and simply deleted it.
I decide to remove all the links on the blog to the contest except for the article. I no longer had no confidence in the cleanliness of the process.
8º) On November 14 the "lords" of Gedket decide cancel the contest:
Apparently something that does not affect the normal functioning of the blog, since it keep updating daily, it must have prevented fulfilling what was promised. All my doubts were confirmed but it would still take me a while to find out.
9º) November 15, 2007, I no longer have the Gedket contest present and I don't even remember that today the winner will be known. At 15:30 I check the blog's statistics and one of the search strings alerts me to the possible outcome of the contest. I then go to the Gedket website and see that the contest has been canceled. Just a few minutes later I receive an email from snack in which they inform me about the scam. The montage was over.
Nor happy with fool everyone Those of us who have wanted to participate in the contest, the guys from Gedket change the text that appears in their contest post on the 15th. It no longer says:

PFor these kids this must mean that anyone is out of time to claim anything, since they have had 48 hours to do so. It is seen that besides being scammers they are newbies and ignore what the cache means Google and how this shows us that the text with which they intend to exempt all responsibility has just been placed.
EIn order that we are to blame for trusting someone who goes professional and writes «Start session» with «c» And it is perfectly calm. If the contest had continued I would have almost certainly won it Youtube videos that he has removed all links to Gedket and deleted the post with which he participated in the contest.
