Creative Pebble Pro, desktop speakers with groundbreaking design

A house brand design

The "millennials" may not say so much Creative, but there was a time when having two creative speakers on your desk, next to the mammoth "tube" monitor, was little less than a symbol of status and quality. While everyone else played Counter Strike or the Sims with flat, canned sound, Creative users enjoyed sound from another galaxy. However, Creative knew early on that it wasn't just sound that was important in a device that was so exposed, design was going to be a big part of the success.

Time passes, but things well done don't. The first thing that surprises you about these Creative Pebble Pros is their design made up of a multitude of spheres and accompanied by a fairly high build quality.

Two connections, a lot of difference

• Standard USB connection (USB-C to USB-A): It will allow us to enjoy a maximum power peak of 20W, although it is the fastest option because it offers us the option of connecting them directly to the PC or Mac through this port, it will not allow us to enjoy all the technical characteristics of the Pebble Pro.
• USB-C PD 30W connection: Things change if we connect them to a 30W USB-C Power Delivery port, since the sound will increase to 30W with peaks of 60W in total.

Needless to say, in line with what many other manufacturers are doing, Creative does not include the power adapter in the box, but honestly if you are willing to connect them, it is an option that you should not miss.

As for the rest of connectivity, These speakers let you take advantage of wireless sound via Bluetooth 5.3, a 3,5mm AUX input, a four-pole headphone port, or a three-pole microphone port, all in addition to the aforementioned USB audio source. c.

Notably the rear of the right speaker has two USB-C ports, therefore, we can at the same time enjoy high-quality sound through this port, and connect the 30W PD power supply to the other port.

Technical characteristics

The Creative app, compatible with Windows, it will allow us to make adjustments to the speakers such as the Voicedetect and Noiseclean systems included. This comes hand in hand with Creative's Clear Dialog audio processing, that will allow us to improve the dialogue of the content that we are playing, so that it is not overlapped by the music or the strident sounds in the background.

In the same way, and as we have already discussed, features Creative's BassFlex technology, which is its commercial option to passively offer a low-frequency response and pronounced bass, something that, although it will not match the installation of an independent subwoofer, is quite noticeable, giving the sound personality.

As for the RGB LED lights included in each of the speakers, We can select different alternatives, mainly taking advantage of the integrated RGB control button, which is none other than the central button that acts as a volume wheel:

• 1 touch: Color mode selection: Cycle, pulse, only, off.
• 1 touch of 2 seconds: Access the color selection mode, which will allow us to adjust the color by turning the volume wheel left or right.

In this way we will be able to select the option that best suits our setup design.

Taking all of the above into account, we find ourselves a very good choice, a sound to match the price it offers us, customization alternatives and above all the guarantee of having a product from a trusted brand from 79,99 euros.
