Destiny 2 promised to be everything that the previous edition was not. Thanks to being a very innovative concept in its day, it was able to capture a lot of users, especially on PlayStation 4. However, it seems that everything that glitters in the face of these aspects is not going to be gold. Not only were sales more decaffeinated than expected, users are leaving Destiny 2 in droves.
The results are disastrous on both PlayStation and Xbox, no matter the platform, just the same day it was released for PC we have learned that Destiny 2 has suffered an impressive rout of users newspapers.
What do we mean? Well, exactly what DestinyTracker has reported both on Reddit and elsewhere that Destiny 2 has lost no more and no less than 78% of its users in just six weeks, which has led them to fall from about 3,6 million users to just 1,5 for their peak of maximum activity on the servers, disastrous numbers if we take into account the little time that has passed, which could indicate that the game has really disappointed many users who have not found what they expected in it and who seem to have been carried away by advertising.
Bungie is going to have to step up and launch a good update if it wants to reverse the situation, although it has really already acquired that money. It could mean the end of the saga, especially considering that its direct rival, Call of Duty: WWII is just around the corner, scheduled to re-download on PlayStation for next October 27.
