Pokémon GO developer Niantic updates the app solving problems with Google accounts

Pokémon Go

I don't think anyone has any doubts about the success of the launch of the new Nintendo game Pokémon Go. Even in the news, mention has been made of the success that the application is having and the revolution among users that this launch has brought about. Although Nintendo is behind it all is the company that receives the least money for the application, since the cake is being shared by both Google Play and Apple, on the one hand, as the developer and the owner of the Pokémon Company rights, all with 30%, while Nintendo is keeping the remaining 10%.

A couple of days ago the news broke in which we could see how iOS users who used their Google account to access the application were automatically giving them full access to their account. According to developer Niantic, this was a bug that they quickly tried to fix by updating the app. This bug only affected iOS users. Niantic's initial intention when allowing access to the application with the Google account was that they could only access the user's ID and email to register in the game.

The developer quickly acknowledged his mistake and announced that he would fix it quickly. Two days after this error was published, Niantic has just updated the application solving this security problem that left Niantic in a very bad place. But in addition, various security and stability problems have also been fixed, in addition to solving the application closures in some moments of the game. The expected arrival of Pokémon GO officially in Europe is scheduled for this week, according to The Wall Street Journal, but at the moment there is no official news about it.
