360-degree live videos come to Facebook

Facebook

As with all apps owned by Facebook, the company continues to implement new features in its flagship service. On this occasion those responsible for its development tell us about the possibility that all users will now have to do 360-degree live video streaming to broadcast everything that happens around you in that particular or personal event that you want to broadcast.

This new functionality, known under the name of Facebook Live 360, has been released today on the popular social network. Unfortunately and as usually happens with this type of development and, especially due to the enormous number of users that the social network has, for now it will only be available on some pages, little by little now throughout 2017, to reach all users.

360 degree video comes to Facebook.

Among the pages that can already make use of the 360-degree live video streaming service we can see that of National Geographic which already offers us a live 360-degree video recorded from Utah, specifically from the Mars simulation station located near the famous American city, the same center where astronauts are prepared for a possible manned mission to Mars.

As you surely know, Facebook is not the only one that offers 360-degree video streaming since, for example, YouTube has been offering it for quite some time and in addition to 4K, a resolution not yet reached by the new service launched by Mark Zuckerberg's social network. For now, if you want to enjoy this new service, you will have to wait until well into 2017, when it will finally be available to anyone who wants to use it.
