DreameBot L10s Ultra, the assault on the high-end of Dreame

As you well know, Dreame is a brand of home automation products and accessories for the home that we have been following almost since its inception. One of those many brands born by and to democratize certain devices that not so long ago were almost unattainable for ordinary mortals.

However, Dreame wanted to make a qualitative and quantitative leap in the robot vacuum cleaner sector and its offer is this new DreameBot L10s Ultra. We analyze all its functionalities, its characteristics and if this is really the blow that the high-end robot vacuum cleaners on the market needed.

As on many other occasions, this in-depth review is accompanied by a video in which you will be able to observe both the unboxing and the configuration and the different functionalities of the device, you can enjoy it at our YouTube channel, where we bring you the best reviews of the products that you really want to see.

Design: There are things that do not change

You will be with me that the manufacturers of robot vacuum cleaners are not exactly the most creative in the world, right? In this aspect, the DreameBot L10s Ultra is not very different from the others, and it is that these devices shine more because of what they hide inside and not so much because of what can be seen on the outside. We have dimensions of 350 x 350 x 97 millimeters, which is not far from other alternatives on the market, as well as a total weight of 3,7 Kilograms, which Although it is not a "plus" of lightness, it remains within the usual standards.

  • Size: 350*350*97 mm
  • Weight: 3,7 Kilograms

The upper part will remain for the LiDAR sensor, as well as the cover for the various tanks that the device consists of. On the front, the arrangement of cameras attracts our attention and sensors that we will talk about later.

What does not leave us indifferent is the lower part, Although we find a single collection brush and the classic silicone brush, we have two circular mops that are going to take care of the scrubbing.

  • Water tank:
  • Dirt tank:

As with a good handful of other products from dreame, It is made entirely in white, although on this occasion the Asian firm has decided to opt for aluminum trim on both the robot and the self-emptying tank.

Regarding the loading and self-emptying station, approximately 4o centimeters high and a remarkable weight considering that it will support the station. It also has a network of tools that will be responsible for cleaning and emptying the robot. We have a side-opening aluminum-colored door on the front designed to put in and take out the waste collection bags.

Technical characteristics

As we have said, this DreameBot L10s Ultra is Dreame's first and most ambitious approach to the high end of the sector. Although they have always opted for the mid-range and value for money, with this product they wanted to do the rest. It has a very powerful motor that offers 5.300Pa of suction, which is said soon. For example, alternatives such as the Roborock S7 or the Roomba S9+ are around 2.500Pa of suction.

Does this necessarily mean that this DreameBot L10s Ultra is more powerful than the others? Although in the technical section and in our tests we have been able to verify excellent capabilities, at least equaling other alternatives on the market, we do not have the necessary tools to measure the suction power.

Dreame L10s Ultra - Foundation

  • Minimum noise emission: 59dB – In this aspect we are facing a robot in the market average in terms of noise, it is not excessively quiet, nor the opposite

To navigate around your home this device uses a camera system with Artificial Intelligence, so much so that we can connect to it and observe what its point of view would be. Also, relies on a LiDAR sensor located in the upper part that has scanned a house of around 75 square meters in approximately half an hour in a fairly reliable way.

The AI Action system uses an RGB camera and a 3D lighting structure (LiDAR) to analyze your home, establish cleaning strategies and generate its own routes to avoid obstacles.

To get the most out of the device we have several alternatives, we recommend the use of the application XiaomiHome, support Android and with iOS. Synchronization is fully automated:

  1. We turn on the device and wait for the LED to blink
  2. We select the type of device in the App
  3. We wait for it to appear in the list and enter the WiFi settings
  4. We make the configuration

Through it we can synchronize the robot with Alexa, Google Assistant and even with Siri shortcuts, without being compatible with Apple HomeKit. Among other things we can:

  • Adjust zone cleaning
  • See the cleaning in real time and direct the robot
  • Check the mapping of the house
  • Get cargo information

These functionalities are already common in other types of robots, both from the brand and from other alternatives, so we are not going to spend too much time on them.

A special scrubbing system and autonomy

The first thing that surprises us is that this DreameBot L10s Ultra flees from the classic mop and opts for a double rotating system of independent mops. This system makes sure to do a deep clean, and we have found that it is by far the best scrubbing alternative available on the market. However, it still has certain problems for its use on wooden floors, where it is not particularly recommended.

Dreame L10s Ultra - Mops

  • Automatic humidifying and water circulation system
  • The self-emptying base has an automatic mop cleaning system

The robot has been able to offer us with an intermediate scrubbing and cleaning power around 130 minutes of autonomy, which positions it again as one of the most powerful alternatives on the market in this regard.

Self-emptying makes the difference

The self-emptying station has a 2,5L tank of clean water and 2,4L of dirty water, as expected, it is responsible for managing the cleaning of the mops. In the same way, we have a bag that collects up to 3L of dirt, which would be equivalent to approximately 60 days of autonomy (we have not been able to verify this). However, the negative point that I can find is the need to use a proprietary bag system as the only alternative, which you can buy on the Dreame website or in usual points of sale.

Self-emptying provides a lot of comfort and in this case Dreame was not going to be the exception. A series of liquids are included in the package to make the substitutions, although the usual ones on the market will serve you.

Editor's opinion

Undoubtedly, Dreame has broken into the high-end market with its DreameBot L10s Ultra, a product with an introductory offer of €1.190 for pre-purchase, with release on October 9. Clearly Dreame has flexed its muscle and shown that it can also make high-end products that offer more and better features than equivalents at the same price.
