Dyson: Vacuum company to launch three premium electric cars

Dyson car

Dyson is a brand that most consumers know. Although we know it for being responsible for manufacturing vacuum cleaners and other appliances. But the company has also been preparing for expansion into new segments for some time. So, are working on the manufacture of three electric cars that would reach the market from 2021. It is a project of more than 2.000 billion pounds.

The brand has a solid plan to prepare for its entry into the vacuum cleaner market. What's more, these new Dyson cars will run on solid state batteries. Since they surpass lithium ions in power and recharge time. Although the first model will not make use of this technology.

The company's plans happen because the first model is used to build a potential customer base. In addition to being able to test what the market wants or how they receive this model. In fact, this first Dyson car would be a limited edition of about 1.000 units. While the two later models will be mass-produced. At least those are the company's plans.

Nothing is known about the production and materials of these Dyson cars. There are media that speculate that light materials such as plastic will be used. Although this could not be confirmed. What seems clear is that the Dyson models are going to move away from traditional electric cars.

This bet is very interesting, since in this way the company can open a gap in the market or lead a new segment. Although at the moment we do not know any design or prototype. So we will have to wait for more information on these cars.

Dyson has already invested some 1.120 billion euros in the development of solid state batteries and in cars. The company is currently looking for where to start the production of all components. So we will have more information about it soon.
