Headphones are precisely a really important device when playing games, so that we can hear, for example, where the enemies are coming from, or enjoy the increasingly interesting soundtracks that video games offer. Design and materials: A very marked style

The first thing that will catch your eye about these headphones is their design, it has the Energy Sistem logo illuminating in the center of each of the headphones just behind a metal grill. As you can see, they are made of metal and plastic. Features a color combination that will dance between black and red that give it a rather aggressive touch.

The upper part has a double hoop headband, while we have the head protected padded system with imitation leather elastics that make them constantly well adjusted. The left earphone is where we have the volume control and the microphone, the same earphone from which the connections come out, of two types in this case, a USB and a 3,5mm Jack, depending on the device we want to use we will take advantage of a connection or other. The headphones come in good packaging, typical of Energy Sistem, and also have a series of courtesy stickers, something quite common in this market.

Comfort and size

We are not going to say that the headphones are light, but neither are they heavy enough to be annoying. We found some headphones that weigh a total of 333 grams, but the fastening system of the upper part has seemed more than successful to avoid problems in this area, since there is a space between the rings and the elastic support, it gives the impression that nothing is "stuck" in the part higher. This elastic is quite wide and padded, the result is that although they give some heat, it is not annoying in prolonged use.

The headphones pick up the ear completely, this helps a lot to isolate us from the outside or offers a good passive noise cancellation, something that is appreciated when it comes to maintaining concentration. The cable has a length of just over 1,5 meters (although the mark indicates 2,2 in the specifications), so we can easily connect them to the game console, thanks to the Jack cable we can connect them directly to the monitor or for example to the DualShock 4 of PlayStation 4, we have many possibilities. In prolonged use, as is often the case with some headphones like this, it gives off some heat.

Technical characteristics

We have headphones that at the audio level have a response in frequencies between 20 Hz and 20 kHz quite modest. DWe have two drivers, one per hearing aid and they have a size of 40 millimeters with a neodymium magnet. The maximum power offered by these headphones, taking into account these characteristics, is 50mW, more than enough thanks to its closed circumaural design and the isolation it can offer us. At the level of impudence we have 32 Ohm with a swing or loss of around 1%, we have headphones that definitely have more than enough features, especially when you consider the price.

As for the microphone, the brand has called it "Boom mic", It has a fixed system, it is not extricable, so we must be careful, because in case of breaking it we will run out of it. However, it has a good plastic coating and its adjustment is made by means of a flexible arm. It has a sensitivity of -38 dB ± 3 dB (@ 1 kHz) and a frequency range of 50 Hz ~ 10 kHz. In our tests it has shown enough for our games, it is not necessary that we speak too loud or too soft, but it is especially important that we have it well directed towards the mouth.

Compatibility and user experience

These headphones are designed for almost all platforms that we can think of: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and of course compatible with any smartphone. I have used it in long days playing mainly FPS such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. In their performance, they have shown good general performance in terms of power and isolation. Comfort has not been bad either, the main negative point of headphones at moderate prices is usually precisely the pain that they begin to cause in the upper part of the head.

Your system self-adjusting headband makes them interesting in this regard. As is to understand for the price, we have a standard stereo sound, however, it is more than enough for those who want to invest in this price range. The microphone does not offer canned sound, it saves a lot of furniture, the same happens with headphones that offer good bass enhancement and flatter mids, but we must remember that the mids are not especially marked in video games.

We have to start from the basis that we are facing headphones that cost only 19,99 euros, and at that price they offer us a good packaging, a powerful sound and almost absolute compatibility. They undoubtedly have an aggressive design typical of products of this style and can become a good gift for the little ones in the house to take their "first steps" in Fortnite and the popular games that we find today. Energy Sistem has really known how to position itself in a fairly saturated market offering good value for money. My experience, considering the clear price, has been good.
