Facebook will show ads based on the stores we visit

Who wants something, it costs something. Many are the users who make use of the social network Facebook, a social network that has some expenses to maintain the service. Far from considering the option of charging for using it, the company is supported by advertising, like most free services.

Facebook has a lot of information about us, information that it uses to guide the advertising services it offers to companies, just like Google's ad service. The latest movement announced by the company can be found in the targeted advertising according to our location.

The Facebook application not only consumes a large amount of battery without making use of the location due to how poorly optimized it is, but if we use it from the application, as it insists time and again to remind us, the battery can be emptied in a matter of hours. Facebook wants to know where we move to target its advertising, In addition to knowing where we are to notify us if we have someone close to us through other functions offered by the social network. Leaving aside the intrusion into privacy that this entails, Facebook needs this information so that advertisers can target their advertising campaigns.

For example, if a few days ago we visited Zara, and the application has registered that location, Facebook could use this information to show us regularly advertisements about this company, new seasons, offers, discounts… As is logical, if we do not have localization activated, the company will be based on the pages that we follow and on the interaction that we have previously made with other companies through an advertisement or by searching their profile. Facebook does not share that information with advertisers at any time, it simply offers the ability to target ads based on user locations.
