The fingerprint sensor under the Vivo X20 Plus screen works despite being scratched

The Vivo X20 Plus has become the first smartphone to reach the market with the fingerprint sensor located just below the screen, a trend that seems not to have been followed by the rest of the manufacturers, as we have seen in the MWC that is is celebrating these days in the city of Barcelona and of which we have informed you promptly.

But many are the users who had a doubt, a doubt related to the operation of the sensor if the device suffered some kind of damage during daily use such as scratches that can affect the screen, obviously accidentally. JerryRigEverthing has thoroughly tested the resistance of this terminal and it seems that he has overcome it, at least in part.

Surprisingly, the Vivo X20 Plus has successfully passed the scratch resistance test with different pressure levels without any problem. The screen, with Gorrilla Glass protection, begins to scratch from Mohs level 6, the same that we can find on our device without putting our smartphone and keys in the same pocket. After making different scratches in the area where the sensor is located, this it continues to work without presenting any type of malfunction.

But it is not the only incident that could affect the operation of the sensor under the screen. JerryRigEverything has tried to test if the sensor would work with the cracked glass, a test that sadly has not been able to perform because the moment it has cracked, the screen has stopped working completely.

Regarding the quality of the materials, they offer the same durability and resistance as any terminal on the high-end market, so it is shown once again that Vivo is doing things very well with its new range of devices, always and when we take special care with the screen, it is not going to be cracked by an accidental fall and the terminal stops working completely.
