Foxconn will upgrade all of its plants regardless of humans

Foxconn

Foxconn It is one of those tech giants whose ability to make all kinds of electronic devices is simply impressive. Such is the case that in its gigantic production plants, in which thousands of people work, several different devices can be produced simultaneously, for example, today produce 500.000 iPhones a day.

To try to update their way of production and further increase the efficiency of their factories and, above all, get rid of one of the great problems they are suffering when it comes to producing devices, we speak, for example, of complaints for hiring minors, suicides of workers due to the stress they suffer ... they have literally decided to bet on trying get rid of the human factor in their centers.

Foxconn has set out to automate 30% of its gigantic factories by 2020.

Going into a little more detail, tell you that we are not talking about 1.000 or 2.000 workers, Foxconn wants dispense with up to a million workers in three different stages. In a first step, Foxconn will develop and manufacture its own robots to replace humans in dangerous or repetitive tasks. In a second stage work would be done to improve the efficiency of these robots while, in the third and last stage, they will bet on the automation of entire factories where only a small number of human workers will remain.

As announced, Foxconn plans to have 30% of its production fully automated by 2020. Another goal they want to achieve, albeit secondary, is to get some 10.000 Phobots per year, which will be able to replace 60.000 humans in their jobs.
